LISA RECTOR, LCSW
ABOUT ME
I am from the Salt Lake City area, and obtained my Bachelor's degree and my Master's degree from the University of Utah. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 17 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families.

I believe that the past informs the present; that in order to live an authentic life, we must first understand why we think, feel, and behave the way we do. Change becomes a possibility as we gain insight
and learn to implement healthier responses to triggering influences. Through the process of therapy, we can develop a better capacity to regulate emotions, thoughts, and behaviors.

My therapeutic approach is fluid, and each session is tailored to meet the needs of each individual client. I am trained in Psychodynamic and Object Relations Therapy, and I also implement several other therapies in my practice. Some of these include:
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
-
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
-
Motivational Interviewing
-
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
-
Gottman Method
-
Trauma Therapy
-
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
-
Internal Family Systems Therapy
